Yoga Classes

Yoga classes at True Heart Massage Therapy are aimed at beginners and also those with previous yoga experience.  Classes are taught by Devin who became a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher in 2016 and has been practicing yoga since 2006. 

Iyengar Teachers go through extensive training over a minimum of 3 years with an additional 3 years of class experience required before one enters the program.

Yoga is suitable for all levels and ages of practitioner. It focuses on alignment with precise instructions and individual attention from the teacher. An extensive use of props (chairs, belts, bolsters, blankets, blocks) is used to bring more awareness to certain areas in each asana (pose) as well as offer support where needed. Here are some pictures of Devin using props for the poses.

Devin is a calm and supportive teacher and will help you develop a practice that is suitable for you! The practice space at True Heart Massage therapy is suitable for 4-8 people so you can be assured you will get personal attention.




 

There are 2 types of classes offered at True Heart Massage Therapy: 

1)Regular:



  • Wednesdays 7 pm - 8:30 pm 
  • Fridays 7 pm - 8:30 pm (starts Feb 2017)


No booking is needed, you can show up about 5-10 minutes before the class starts.



   Regular Class Fees:      1st Regular Class is FREE!

  • 4 Class Punch Card: $60 +HST ($69.00)
  • 8 Class Punch Card: $112 +HST ($128.80)
  • 12 Class Punch Card: $156 +HST ($179.40)


2)Private/Semi-Private: These classes can be booked online between our regular working hours of 8:30 am - 8:00 pm and cost $50 for a 1 hour class.  The cost is split evenly between all students in attendance. Maximum of 4 students allowed for semi-private classes.  One person books the class (can be done online) and is responsible for the fee if the others do not show up.


Please Note: You will be required to sign a standard waiver form before participating in the class. Yoga mats are available for your use at no extra charge. It is advised that you do not eat a large meal 2 hours before your class starts. Please let us know if you have any health concerns or if you are on your menstrual cycle and we will adapt the practice specifically for your needs.
